Our client, based in Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Private Chef to join their established household team. The residence is home to four permanent family members, with extended family and guests visiting frequently.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily preparation and presentation of high-quality family meals, with a strong emphasis on Arabic, Mediterranean, BBQ, and healthy cuisine. The family enjoys clean, nutritious cooking, and the chef should be mindful of using minimal oils, salts, and processed ingredients while maintaining exceptional flavour and presentation.
Working collaboratively alongside two other chefs, the Private Chef will play a key role in planning varied and balanced menus, accommodating family preferences and guest requirements, and ensuring consistently high culinary standards.
The chef will be expected to tailor meals to the specific dietary requirements and health needs of individual family members. The household includes family members with high cholesterol, and one family member follows dietary restrictions related to mild borderline gout, requiring careful ingredient selection and menu planning. While two family members typically dine together for dinner, dining schedules for the other family members can vary. Lunch requirements are generally different for three of the four family members, requiring flexibility and the ability to prepare multiple meals simultaneously.
In addition to cooking responsibilities, the chef will be responsible for maintaining an exceptionally clean, tidy, and well-organised kitchen at all times, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen management are consistently upheld.
The chef should possess strong knowledge of traditional Arabic cuisine and be capable of preparing a variety of homemade staples and speciality items, including Arabic bread, tamees, foul, cakes, brownies, basbousa, kunafa, and other desserts. The family appreciates health-conscious cooking, and the chef should be able to adapt both savoury dishes and desserts to support a balanced and nutritious lifestyle without compromising on quality or taste.
Additional responsibilities will include weekly budget management, sourcing and purchasing high-quality ingredients, menu planning, stock control, and implementing effective systems to minimise food waste and maximise efficiency within the kitchen.
This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility, professionalism, and excellent organisational skills. The position is offered on a six-day-per-week basis, with working hours determined by the needs of the household.
