Overview
A lovely family of three, soon to be four, living on the Upper East Side seeks a full-time, live-out nanny to help care for their 14-month-old daughter. The position would be Monday through Friday, with the working hours being approximately 8/8.30am-6/6.30pm. The parents are very involved in the day to day lives of their children. Mom will finish Maternity leave and be returning to work in January.
The children will be the candidate’s main responsibility along with all nursery duties including keeping their bedrooms and play areas clean and tidy, along with cooking nutritious and healthy meals. The family have a housekeeper who will tend to the other areas of the home.
The ideal candidate would be someone who is mature, professional, discreet, and above all, passionate in their role.
Responsibilities
- All nursery duties, including the children's washing and ironing
- Ensure the kitchen is left clean and tidy after preparing the children's food
- Supervise and plan stimulating and educational activities with a Montessori approach that help to promote cognitive, social, physical and emotional development
- Plan and schedule outings
Qualifications
- Organize and schedule fun and educational age appropriate activities
- The candidate should have a maternal energy
- They should be proactive, strong communication skills, and be professional
Requirements
- Fluent English speaking
- The candidate should be open minded to potential, occasional travel including the Hamptons, Palm Beach. They would have their own room and bathroom during this time
- The family own a hypoallergenic Shih Tzu, so the candidate should be comfortable around dogs
- Babysitting once a week, paid as overtime
Salary and Benefits
- The family are offering $32/$33 per hour
- 2 weeks PTO
