I am a highly qualified and experienced educator with over a decade of teaching in both UK and international schools, including the UAE. With a PGCE and QTS, a Master’s in Child Development, and a BSc in Psychology, I bring a strong academic foundation and deep understanding of how to support children’s development—both academically and personally.
Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with primary and lower secondary students following the British National Curriculum, including significant experience raising attainment in English, Maths, and Science. I am passionate about delivering structured, high-quality academic support tailored to each child’s needs. My lessons are results-driven and data-informed, with a proven track record of helping students achieve excellent academic progress.
After several successful years in the classroom, I have recently transitioned into home-based teaching and tutoring to provide more focused, individualised support. This shift has allowed me to work more closely with families and tailor learning to the specific academic and developmental needs of each child—something I find both rewarding and highly impactful.
Beyond academics, I have also taken on leadership responsibilities, including curriculum development in sustainability, coordinating whole-school initiatives, and introducing strategies such as whole-class reading and visible learning. These experiences have strengthened my ability to manage schedules, lead initiatives, and communicate effectively with families and school staff—skills essential for this home-based educational role.
I am confident supporting students with academic organisation, developing independent study skills, and liaising directly with schools to ensure seamless communication between home and the classroom. I also have experience coordinating extracurricular learning and enrichment activities, and I am adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
