Overview
A loving family in Palo Alto, CA is looking for a short-term newborn care specialist to travel with them to Brazil for the month of March. The hours of the role are Monday through Saturday, 8 hours per day, with the possibility of some overtime which will be compensated at a higher hourly rate. A majority of the care will be for the 5-month-old baby, however, from time to time, you will be asked to help with their 2-year-old daughter, but never at the same time as there is an additional nanny for the daughter.
Responsibilities
- Travel with family to Brazil
- Care for 5-month-old daughter
- Assist with feedings, feeding schedules, and introductions of solid foods
- Follow routine set forth by Mom
- Step-in to assist with caring for 2-year-old daughter, from time to time
- Take care of everything related to the baby, including organizing her belongings and keeping everything clean and well-maintained
Qualifications
- Professional experience caring for infants
- Certified as a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS)
- Knowledge of infant feeding and allergies and experienced in introducing solid foods and handling food allergies
- Great energy, patience, and love of caring for babies
Requirements
- Legal to work in US
- Ability to travel internationally (Brazil)
- Available to work the month of March 2025
Salary and Benefits
- Flights to and from Brazil will be covered
- All expenses paid while in Brazil
- Monday through Saturday, 8 hours a day paid at $40/hr and $60/hour after 8 hours
- In addition, $80 paid per night
