Overview
A lovely young couple near Union Square, NYC are seeking a Spanish or Korean-speaking weekend nanny for their 2-year-old daughter. The schedule for this role will be Saturday 8am through Tuesday 8am (3 days, 3 nights). This is a live-in role and the nanny will have the monitor overnight, though the child does sleep through the night, approximately 12 hours. the family so open to a candidate who is only available to work Friday 6pm through Monday 7am. The provided accommodation during working hours is a private bedroom and bathroom. Candidates must have their own accommodations during off time.
Responsibilities
- All childcare, including managing sleep, meal, and hygiene routines
- Planning outings and activities, and providing an engaging and stimulating environment.
- Making basic child-friendly food if needed (the family has a chef who prepares most meals)
- Keeping child's belongings organized and child-related spaces tidy throughout the day
Qualifications
- Team player, as this is a fully staffed home and the parents are both in and out throughout the day
- Comfortable with full-charge as parents do not want to micromanage
- Warm and maternal
- Engaging and willing to get down on the floor and play
- Highly organized, capable, and meticulous and able to keep up with a fast-paced home
- Willing to be outside in all weather as the child loves being outdoors
- Ability to take direction, but also anticipate and take initiative as needed
Requirements
- Spanish or Korean-speaking
- The family has a small dog, so candidates must be comfortable working around pets
- US work authorization required
- No phone useage during working hours unless communicating with the parents or in an emergency
- Candidates for this role must be COVID vaccinated and must be willing to stay up to date on other recommended vaccinations
- The family occasionally travels to a second home over the weekend, and the nanny should be willing to accompany them if needed
Salary and Benefits
- $30-40/hr. for waking hours, and $150/overnight, approximately $80-100k annually
- Opportunity for overtime hours if willing to split summer travel with full-time nanny (this is not required)
