- Location: Near Northleach, Gloucestershire
- Accommodation: 3-Bedroom Cottage + Bills (Pets and Dependants allowed)
- Hours/Days: 5 days per week, with some weekend work required during dressage competitions. Two consecutive days off will be provided each week.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and reliable Groom to join a well-run, private family stable yard located in the heart of Gloucestershire. This is a live-in role, offering a comfortable three-bedroom cottage, and would ideally suit an experienced groom looking for a quieter, more personal setting away from the demands of a busy professional yard.
This role would particularly appeal to someone who enjoys taking pride in high standards of horse care and thrives in a calm, family-oriented environment.
Duties will include:
- Day-to-day care and management of family horses and ponies
- Supporting and encouraging a young rider with her dressage ponies
- General yard duties, including mucking out, feeding, grooming, tack cleaning, and paddock maintenance
- Preparing horses and ponies for competitions and dressage shows
- Assisting with the care of holidaying racehorses during the summer months
- Supporting the care of two broodmares in foal (stud experience advantageous)
- Liaising with vets, farriers, and grounds staff
- Basic fence and paddock maintenance (with support where needed)
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a valid HGV licence
- Be an experienced and knowledgeable horse person with high standards of care
- Be confident working independently as well as part of a small, friendly team
- Be trustworthy, observant, and dependable
- Possess a calm and kind demeanour, especially around children and animals
Desirable (but not essential):
- Stud experience
- Confidence handling a variety of horse types
- Ability to hack out a pony (riding not essential)
