Overview
A busy Brooklyn family of five living in Clinton Hill is looking for a part-time housekeeper to join their team. They currently have a full-time housekeeper who has been doing the deep-cleaning for years but need to add extra support in their 5 story town house. The role will be 3 days a week from 9 am until 5 pm. The preferred days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday but they do have some flexibility here.
Responsibilities
- Standard housekeeping duties, responsibility for the cleanliness and upkeep of the home, including all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas
- Work as a team with other housekeeping staff
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, removing trash
- Conduct deep cleaning: scrubbing showers/toilets, cleaning window ledges, removing cobwebs, and maintaining overall hygiene standards
- Organize and maintain closets, pantries, storage spaces; perform seasonal clean-ups
- Laundry, ironing, and garment care
Qualifications
- Highly discreet and professional
- Can take constructive criticism
- Can work efficiently on a team
- organized and able to be the principal right hand at times
Requirements
- Can work in a 5 story town-house
- Detail Oriented
- Strong communication skills, fluent in English written and verbal
- Prior full-time private household experience
- Discreet, reliable, flexible
