We are seeking a professional, well-presented Chauffeur / Driver to join a busy, private household. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Oxfordshire and wider UK routes and experience in providing safe, efficient, and discreet driving services. This is a full-time role, combining driving duties with general household support where needed. Previous security experience is highly desirable, helping to ensure a safe and secure environment for the family.
The household is fully staffed, including housekeepers and an additional driver who provides support on Mondays. A collaborative, team-oriented approach is essential to succeed in this role. The main property is located in Oxford, with additional family residences in Oxfordshire and London, involving occasional travel across the UK and regular trips to London.
Duties outline but not limited to:
- Daily driving for the principals, family members and guests
- Safe, smooth and efficient driving at all times
- Airport, station and appointment transfers
- Vehicle care: cleaning, fuelling, upkeep and ensuring MOT/servicing schedules are followed
- Confident and calm driving in both rural and city environments
General Household Support
- Running errands (shopping, dry cleaning, prescriptions, parcel collection etc.)
- Supporting the household team with ad-hoc duties
- Occasional assistance with small handyman or organisational tasks
- Maintaining a discreet, professional presence at all times
- Assisting with vet appointments and pet-related tasks
- Support with household security tasks, maintaining discretion and confidentiality
- Assisting with ensuring the safety and security of the property and family members
- Previous experience in a security role is highly desirable
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chauffeur / Private Driver
- Experience working in private households or with HNW/UHNW families preferred
- Strong knowledge of Oxford, surrounding areas and UK road networks
- Clean UK driving licence
- Excellent timekeeping, communication and discretion
- Flexible, reliable and able to adapt to changing schedules
- Polished, professional appearance
