Overview
A loving family in Salt Lake City, Utah, is seeking a lead family assistant (FA) to add to their current ROTA FA team. This would be a daily, live-out, local SLC-based role. Depending on where the family is in residence, the lead FA would fly to Salt Lake City, Utah, or Kauai, Hawaii, for approximately a week at a time every month or so. This position will need to have a flexible mindset for travel, as needed, but will primarily be based out of SLC and be a live-out local. Candidates already local to SLC are preferred, but relocation will also be provided. You would be working as the lead for four to five other family assistants, who work in pairs on a two-week-on/two-week-off ROTA. One FA may be located at the property where the family is not currently in residence, depending on current needs. There is one pre-teen daughter in residence, full-time in SLC, and adult children who live outside the home. The FA team will be responsible for managing the travel and life logistics of all the children and supporting the principals. This position will be filled once the right candidate is found. The family is seeking longevity.
Responsibilities
- Daily childcare for a pre-teen daughter
- All aspects and responsibilites of a personal family assistant, as requested
- Following dedicated policies and procedures set forth by the estate manager and family
- As needed logsitically help with adult children's travel, appointments, etc.
- Reporting to the lead family assistant and working on a team of 4-5 family assistants
- Flying in/out of either Salt Lake City or Kauai, Hawaii or alternative locations
- Handling all aspects of school and home life for pre-teen
- Driving to/from school, appointments and afterschool activities
- Helping the chef to prep healthy snacks, if needed
- In absence of the chef, preparing meals for the family, from recipes left by the chef
- Packing and unpacking
- Vehicle support
- Receiving and returning packages, as needed
- Organizing the home closests, cabinets, etc.
- Miscellaneous tasks and daily errands
- Familly has a cat, so must NOT be allergic and comfortable working around a pet in the home
Requirements
- Must be legal to work in the US
- Prior family assistant experience in a busy high-end home
- Prior managerial experience
- Prior work on a team and have a team player mentality
- Comfortable cooking basic meals, as needed
- Flying in and out both domestic and internationally for schehdules
- Flexibility is Key!
- No job to big/small mentality
