Overview
A lovely family is seeking a full-time, experienced, highly professional executive housekeeper to support housekeeping operations at their residences in the Hamptons and New York City. The schedule will be working as a live-in (apartment provided) in the Hamptons during the summer, May through September. While in the Hamptons, weekends will be required. From October through April, it would become a live-out position on the Upper East Side. In NYC, the schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm. Flexibility is required for schedule changes, weekends, and brief travel assignments. You will be required to work 3-4 Saturdays per year and occasionally work later hours for Jewish holidays. This role will work directly with the principals, dealing with vendors, and helping with home management. The candidate should be comfortable in this type of role, with prior experience, and be polished and professional at all times. There may be additional times you are asked to go to their home in Miami where you would be provided with live-out accommodations. There is a full-time chef and second housekeeper in the home, so you must be comfortable working on a team. This position is hiring immediately.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities will be;
- Deep cleaning of the large home
- All laundry and ironing for the home
- Managing vendors and contractors associated with the home
- Running errands
- Ensuring the home is properly stocked
- Taking inventory
- Organizing pantries and closets
- Answering phones
- Greeting guests and visitors
- Ensuring the home is ready for the family's arrival at all times
Qualifications
- There is a medium sized dog in the home, so you must be comfortable with dogs
- Organized
- Energetic
- Looking to stay with a family for the next 20 years
- Formal home experience is a plus
- Experience working on a team is a plus
Requirements
- Legal to work in the US and have a US Passport, Green Card, or EAC to apply for this role.
- This is a formal home, so experience working in a formal, fully staffed home is required.
- Must be comfortable working with dogs.
