Overview
A kind and busy downtown family of six is looking for a fantastic full-time housekeeper to join their team. The role is Monday through Friday from 7:30am until 3:30pm. This home has small children and a dog so it is important that you love both. The first hour of work each day will be helping get a 5-year-old fed and out the door for school, while the nanny helps with the other three children. A team player is crucial for this family and role!
Responsibilities
- Housekeeping, upkeep of the house (deep cleaning can be done by a 3rd party if needed and agreeded upon), and general interior care
- Helping with the morning child-care shuffle when needed
Manage dish-washing, including loading and unloading the dishwasher.
Handle laundry, including washing, folding, organizing, and coordinating dry cleaning.
Maintain clothing and closet organization.
- Water filter upkeep
- Managing the inventory of household supplies, including breaking down boxes
- Cleaning of the outdoor furniture and garden area
- Pet care- dog has a dog walker but you will need to let the dog in and out of the garden level, wipe the dogs paws, take the dog to the vet 1x per year and clean up areas when needed.
- Very basic food prep (e.g., washing and cutting fruit to store for kids, washing lettuce to store for salads, etc.)
- Candidates must be comfortable adhering to specific cleaning protocols
Empty trash, reset surfaces, and maintain orderly presentation of all living spaces.
Follow direction and task prioritizing from the principal’s assistant.
Qualifications
- Kind, with a pleasant disposition
- Competent self starter
- Able to follow directions and maintain established organization systems
- Excellent communicator
- The housekeeper must be comfortable working around children and pets
Professional demeanor with a calm, unobtrusive presence.
Ability to take direction and execute tasks efficiently without micromanagement.
Requirements
Prior experience working in high-end private residences, luxury condos, or similarly refined environments.
Strong understanding of discretion and confidentiality in private settings.
Detail-oriented with pride in maintaining immaculate spaces.
