Overview
A loving family of three living in San Francisco, CA, is seeking an experienced specialized nanny or NCS for their infant. The child has a severe behavioral feeding aversion. The role starts ASAP, and the schedule is Monday through Friday and will be 50-55 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Your primary focus is on feeding management. She is hyperactive/distracted and has a negative association with the bottle due to past pain
- Zero pressure
- Must practice "responsive feeding." If she refuses/arches, you stop immediately. No forcing, tricking, or coaxing.
- Providing all aspects of childcare while creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
- Other requirements
- Laundry
- Light housekeeping, such as emptying the dishwasher
- Keeping general areas tidy
- Meal prep
Qualifications
- Resilience: Ability to remain emotionally neutral and calm during refusals
- Has "nerves of steel" and understands the medical nuance of aversion
- This family needs a teammate and someone they can trust
- Required to maintain a constant line of communication, report to the parents, and work well on a team
Requirements
- PATIENT and calm
- Proven history with medical feeding issues/aversion (not just "picky eating")
- NICU, Nursing, or OT/SLP background preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to transport the child
- Non-smoker
Salary and Benefits
- The hourly rate is open, and they are looking for someone specialized
- $55 per hour but OPEN for the right person
