Working hours: 5 days a week, 8 hours per day + extras when required

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly professional Live-In Housekeeper to join a fully staffed private estate in Florence, Italy. The estate comprises two neighbouring villas and serves as the primary residence of an international family, with frequent guests and entertaining throughout the year.
The successful candidate will join an established household team and will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping, laundry, and presentation across both properties. This role would suit a proactive, discreet, and team-oriented individual with previous experience working in luxury private households or villas.
Role Responsibilities
- Full housekeeping of the main villa and frequent housekeeping on the secondary/guest villa
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of all living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and guest spaces
- Care of delicate fabrics, fine furnishings, and valuable household items
- High-level laundry and wardrobe management, including the care of designer clothing and delicate garments
- Bed making, linen changes, and inventory management
- Maintaining impeccable presentation standards throughout the properties
- Assisting with guest preparation and service during events and family gatherings
- Supporting other household staff as required
- Learning and operating the property’s smart home systems, including lighting, climate control, security, and entertainment systems
- Packing and unpacking for principals when required
- Occasional travel with the family, including approximately three weeks per year in Sardinia
- Collaborate with a large team composed of: Security, Drivers, Housekeepers, Chefs, PAs, Butlers, Estate Manager and Maintenance/Landscaping staff
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working in private villas, estates, or UHNW households
- Excellent housekeeping and laundry skills
- Experience caring for delicate materials and luxury finishes, including marble and fine fabrics
- Fluent Italian and good working knowledge of English
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards
- Honest, discreet, trustworthy, and professional
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours
- Comfortable working as part of a large household team
