Overview
A warm and active family is seeking an experienced and professional Mother’s Helper to join their household as soon as the right person is found. The family consists of a hands-on stay-at-home mother, her husband, a four-year-old daughter, a 15-month-old daughter, and a son due at the end of November. The family is currently based in Spring Lake, New Jersey through early September, and the right candidate is welcome to start there if they are a strong live-in fit. The family will transition to their home in Brickell, Miami in September 2026, where this role will be based for the remainder of the year going forward, with summers returning to New Jersey annually. The mother is home most of the time and deeply involved in her children’s daily lives. She is not looking for someone to replace her presence but rather someone who can move seamlessly alongside her, anticipate what needs to be done, and bring a calm, capable, and professional energy to the household every single day. This is not a role for someone who needs constant direction. The ideal candidate understands where the line is between warm and professional and holds it with confidence.
The role is structured around the natural flow of the family’s day. The typical schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8:00am until 6:00pm, with flexible required. Mornings begin with coverage during the older daughter’s school drop off window, approximately 45 minutes, during which the candidate will handle the baby’s breakfast and morning routine independently. From there, the day continues with coverage during the mother’s gym time, roughly one hour, followed by lunch preparation, afternoon child engagement, dinner prep, and end of day cleanup and reset. The mother is rarely away from the home for more than a few hours at a time, but the right candidate must be fully comfortable managing the children on their own when she steps out. Flexibility is essential, as no two days look exactly the same with young children in the home.
Live-out is preferred for local Miami based candidates. For the New Jersey summer, live-in accommodations are available, with a private bedroom and bathroom provided at the Spring Lake home. The family is also open to a live-in arrangement in Miami for the right candidate who is not local and would consider an accommodation for that person. The right candidate will be open to traveling with the family domestically and internationally, including an annual trip to London and Disney trips, with all travel expenses covered by the family.
