A warm international family is seeking an exceptional career nanny to provide safe, attentive and developmentally informed care for their young son, currently under one year. This is a permanent, full-time, live-in travelling appointment across Mallorca, Dubai, the UK and other international destinations.
The role combines shared care with sole charge and occasional proxy-parenting responsibility. The nanny must be highly organised, proactive, discreet and able to retain and implement detailed instructions consistently.
Core responsibilities
- Deliver nurturing, developmentally appropriate infant care in line with parental guidance.
- Plan sensory play, outings, learning opportunities and developmental activities.
- Maintain feeding, sleep, hygiene and daily routines as the child develops.
- Prepare bottles, meals and snacks safely; manage all nursery duties.
- Prepare proactively for outings and travel, including bags, clothing, food, documents and equipment.
- Maintain vigilant supervision and anticipate choking, environmental, travel and water-related risks.
- Communicate clearly with both parents and work collaboratively with household staff.
- Travel internationally while maintaining discretion and professional boundaries.
Essential profile
- Several years of recent professional nanny experience, including substantial infant and early-years care.
- Stable appointments and strong, verifiable private-household references.
- Excellent safety knowledge, judgement, organisation and ability to think several steps ahead.
- Emotionally steady, calm under pressure, warm and engaging.
- Fluent English; Spanish advantageous.
- Confident driver with a clean licence.
- EU or British passport, or equivalent eligibility to work and travel between Spain, the UAE and the UK, strongly preferred.
- Current Paediatric First Aid, Enhanced DBS or equivalent, and full employment-history verification.
Accommodation and schedule
- Mallorca: private apartment next to the family home.
- Dubai: accommodation within the family apartment initially, potentially separate later.
- Wednesday to Monday, Tuesdays off; typically 8:00am–6:00/7:00pm with travel flexibility.
Salary: £60,000–£80,000 gross per annum, depending on experience and fit. Accommodation and agreed work-related travel expenses provided.
