An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and self-sufficient Domestic Couple to join a private household on a beautiful estate in mainland Scotland to look after a part time residence.
This is a long-term position ideally suited to a couple who enjoy country living and take genuine pride in maintaining a private home to an exceptional standard. The property offers the best of both worlds – surrounded by stunning countryside with an abundance of outdoor pursuits on the doorstep, whilst remaining within easy reach of local towns and amenities.
The successful couple will enjoy a varied role, working largely independently and taking ownership of the smooth day-to-day running of the home and grounds.
Accommodation is provided in a separate, self-contained property, available furnished or unfurnished, with all household costs covered by the employer. A well-behaved pet will also be considered.
The Role
Working together, you will ensure the home, gardens and estate are maintained to the highest standard, providing discreet and proactive support while respecting the family's privacy.
Responsibilities include:
Housekeeping
- Full care and presentation of the family home.
- Cleaning to an exceptional standard.
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care.
- Household organisation and stock management.
- Occasional preparation of healthy, home-cooked meals made from fresh ingredients.
- Preparing the property for family arrivals and departures.
Estate & Grounds
- General gardening and routine grounds maintenance.
- Basic property maintenance and practical repairs where appropriate.
- Monitoring contractors and service providers when required.
- Ensuring the security of the house and wider estate.
- Keeping outdoor areas tidy, safe and well-presented throughout the seasons.

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday.
- Approximately 40 hours per week.
- Some flexibility may be required to accommodate the family's schedule, with time off managed accordingly.
