A lovely private family based in Richmond is looking for an experienced, reliable and personable Part-Time Nanny/Housekeeper to join their household.
The family are looking for someone who is hands-on, organised and happy to follow instructions, as the employer likes things done in a particular way and takes pride in maintaining a well-run and tidy home.
The property is a six-bedroom, four-floor house, so the successful candidate should be comfortable working across a larger home and managing their time efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities
Housekeeping
- General cleaning and upkeep of the family home
- Washing and ironing
- Keeping the house organised and tidy
- Ensuring bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas are maintained to a high standard
- Ordering and managing household groceries and supplies
- Following the employer's preferred methods and routines for the household
Family Cooking
- Preparing simple, fresh family meals
- Light cooking including salads, sandwiches and meal preparation
- Helping with basic food preparation for the family
Nanny Duties
- Helping care for the family's 5-year-old child
- Supporting with homework and reading
- Playing and engaging with the child, including activities such as Lego
- Providing a warm, caring and attentive presence after school
- Helping maintain a good routine and ensuring the child's needs are met
Hours
Monday to Friday: 2:00pm–7:30pm
The Ideal Candidate
The family are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in both housekeeping and childcare
- Warm, kind and genuinely enjoys working with children
- Organised and able to manage their time effectively
- A confident and competent housekeeper
- Happy to carry out light family cooking and meal preparation
- Comfortable following instructions and established household routines
- Flexible and adaptable to the family's needs
- Reliable, discreet and trustworthy
- Proactive but also respectful of the employer's preferences
- Looking for a long-term position with a private family
If you have pets, you must bring clothes to change into thay do not have pet hair on as the family have allergies.
