A family of five are based in Muscat, Oman, and maintain an active international lifestyle that demands household staff of exceptional capability and composure. The home is well-appointed and professionally run, with standards that reflect the family's expectation of seamless, anticipatory service. Travel is a regular and integral part of life, and the team they build must move with them without disruption to service quality.
THE ROLE
Two Butlers are sought to provide dedicated personal service to five adults, both within the principal residence and across extensive international travel. This is a role for someone who understands that exceptional service is consistent regardless of setting, and who takes quiet pride in precision and presentation. Food and beverage service and the management of personal wardrobes during travel sit at the heart of this position.
— Delivering attentive personal butler service to five adults across both the household and travel environments
— Managing packing and unpacking with meticulous care, ensuring wardrobes are maintained to an impeccable standard throughout all travel
— Overseeing food and beverage service within the home, from informal daily service to more considered dining occasions
— Anticipating the needs of principals and adapting seamlessly to changing schedules and environments
— Liaising with household staff and external suppliers to ensure the smooth operation of daily life
— Travelling internationally with the family on a regular basis, maintaining continuity of service away from the principal residence
THE ESSENTIALS
— Muscat, Oman
— Live-in, with accommodation provided
— Full-time, 12 hours per day, six days per week
— Regular international travel required as part of the role

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will bring genuine longevity from previous placements, whether transitioning from a senior hotel butler background or arriving from an established private household career. A calm, composed manner under travel conditions is essential, as is the confidence to deliver impeccable food and beverage service in a variety of settings. Above all, this is a role for someone who commits fully, travels willingly, and takes lasting pride in the standards they maintain.
— A demonstrable record of sustained tenure in previous roles
— Refined packing and wardrobe management skills, with experience dressing principals for varied occasions and climates
— Polished food and beverage service at a standard befitting a discerning private household
— Genuine enthusiasm for travel and the ability to maintain consistent service standards away from the home base
— Flexibility, discretion and the composure to perform at the highest level in any environment
— Contentment to be permanently based in Muscat, Oman when not travelling with the family
