Nanny/Governess, Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi
THE HOUSEHOLD
A private family home on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, with three children in residence. This role is dedicated to the two eldest, aged eight and six, both in full-time education on the English National Curriculum. The youngest child, aged one, is cared for by his own nanny, and the household runs on an established team of housekeepers, chef and drivers.
THE ROLE
A dedicated Nanny/Governess role for the two eldest children, with a full household team already in place. The family are looking for someone to hold the children's world with warmth, structure and quiet authority: routine, schooling, activities and progress. The right person brings real academic substance to the after-school hours and takes genuine pride in how children are raised and how a day is run.
— Take full charge of the children's mornings and afternoons: wake-up, uniforms, breakfast and the school run; collection, homework, activities, and having them washed, changed and ready for dinner with their parents
— Own the after-school academic block, with homework completed properly, daily reading, and a weekly enrichment plan shaped around the school's priorities
— Act as the family's single point of contact with the school: portal, correspondence, newsletters, class groups, trips and events
— Manage the children's full calendar (clubs, tutors, playdates, parties and appointments), including bookings, fees and all liaison with coaches and tutors
— Keep the children's wardrobes, kit and belongings in order, current to size and season, rotating what is outgrown
— Brief the chef, housekeepers and drivers on the children's needs each day
— Accompany the drivers on school runs and activities, taking the wheel herself when needed
— Provide a concise daily handover and a short weekly note on each child's progress
THE ESSENTIALS

— 6:30am to around 7:30pm, with a break in the middle of the day while the children are at school

THE CANDIDATE
The right person is warm, structured and unflappable: a professional who takes real pride in how children are raised and how a day is run, and who is looking for a long-term home for her work.
— Native English speaker (essential)
— Proven experience as a professional Nanny or Governess with school-age children in private households
— Confident with the English National Curriculum
— A valid UAE driving licence, or one directly convertible, and genuine willingness to drive
— Current paediatric first aid; police clearance or DBS from recent countries of residence
— A strong, confident swimmer, at ease around pool and beach
— Two checkable references from private households
— Fluency in French, a significant advantage
— A teaching qualification or early-years degree would strengthen an application
— The discretion and steadiness to become a trusted, lasting presence in the household
