Overview
A growing family on the Upper East Side is seeking a seasoned, professional nanny to care for their 6-month-old baby.
The family is flexible on schedule and can offer 4 or 5 days per week, with the expectation that one weekend day will be included. The position will be approximately 35–40 hours per week, with the hourly rate flexible for the right candidate.
The ideal nanny will have strong infant experience, be warm and nurturing, reliable, and comfortable becoming an integral part of a growing family’s routine. Travel is required, and the position will include overtime hours, which will be compensated accordingly.
Responsibilities
- Provide loving, attentive, full-charge care for one infant.
- Work collaboratively and in tandem with highly involved parents while confidently taking ownership of the baby's daily routine and care.
- Actively engage the baby throughout the day through reading, singing, talking, play, and age-appropriate activities.
- Support developmental milestones, including sitting, crawling, fine and gross motor development, and emerging communication.
- Take the baby on daily walks, outings, classes, and activities throughout the Upper East Side.
- Maintain consistent nap and sleep routines.
- Prepare and feed bottles.
- Support the transition to formula and combination feeding.
- Assist with the introduction of purées, solids, and other age-appropriate foods as directed by the parents.
- Maintain the nursery, play areas, toys, and child-related belongings.
- Handle child-related tidying, laundry, and organization as needed.
- Communicate openly and consistently with the parents regarding the baby's daily activities, development, feeding, sleep, and any concerns.
- Adapt to the baby's evolving needs and developmental stages.
- Both domestic and international travel is required
Qualifications
- Experienced with toddlers and young children
- Warm, nurturing, patient, and genuinely engaged with children
- Energetic and playful, with a strong kid-friendly personality
- Organized, tidy, dependable, and proactive
- Confident teaching manners and encouraging positive behavior
- A strong communicator who works well as part of a team
- Proactive and need little to no direction
- Comfortable with parents working from home
- Flexible and willing to travel with the family
- Ability to work one weekend day is a major plus

- Local to NYC and able to live-out and commute daily to the Upper East Side
- OK to work in a home with a dog
Salary and Benefits
- $40–$55 per hr depending on how many hours the candidate needs ( Less hours and one weekend day -open to higher rate)
- 35- 40 hours guaranteed per week
