Overview
First-time parents of a sweet baby boy are seeking a superlative, education- and development-focused career nanny/governess. They have homes in Los Angeles, CA, Italy, St. Barts, and Miami (Coconut Grove), FL. This role is primarily based in Miami, but the candidate will be expected to travel with the family throughout the year as needed and when in their other homes. They want the nanny to have a child-focused degree and/or certification (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, etc.). They want a cream-of-the-crop candidate; someone who knows how to develop the brain of a child, especially during the formative years from infancy to age 3. The baby is 2 months old now and will be about 5 months old when the role begins. It is a bonus if the nanny speaks Italian. The role can be live-in or live-out. If live-in, the candidate to hire will have a room in their luxury residence. Hours will be 50-55 hours a week, with days to be decided, but at least 5 days a week and ideally 6 days a week when needed. They have a Newborn Care Specialist now whom they love and this role begins January 1, 2027.
Responsibilities
• Ensuring the baby's safety, health, and happiness at all times• Actively nurturing and engaging the child in educational, developmental, and fun age-appropriate activities that encourage his physical and mental growth; fostering brain development is extremely important in this role• Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones (e.g. tummy time, mealtime, socialization, potty training, learning to read, walking, etc.). Advising parents on milestones to prepare for, including purchasing specific toys, developmental products, books, classes, etc.• Taking the child on age-appropriate excursions to classes, the park, on walks, arranging playdates, reading, and indoor & outdoor play• Diaper changes• Maintaining the child’s nap, eating, and play schedules• Child’s laundry (clothes and bed sheets)• Feeding, meal preparation, and cooking for the child• Notifying parents when child-related items need to be restocked, clothes are too small, etc.• Keeping the home's main spaces and the child’s room clean and tidy (putting away/wiping down toys, cleaning bottles, dishes, and the kitchen after mealtime, tidying his room, emptying the diaper pail, doing the baby's laundry, changing the baby's sheets, keeping the stroller/diaper bag organized and well-stocked)• Flexible and able to stay longer as needed I.E., babysit at night or on weekends• Keeping a log/report of his schedule (feeding, naps, etc.)• Occasionally bathing and bedtime as needed I.E., if parents are out that night• Open to frequent travel (Los Angeles, Italy, St. Barts, etc.).

• 5+ years of nanny experience with 2+ of those years in caring for infants from ages 4-months-old to 36-months-old
