An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, reliable and proactive Live-Out Housekeeper to join a private family household in the HX4 area.
The household consists of four family members and two cats. The family is looking for a capable and organised housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining a clean, tidy and well-presented home. The successful candidate will be happy working independently, using their initiative and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the household.
The role will involve general housekeeping, laundry and ironing, together with some light family cooking and practical household support, including liaising with contractors and managing deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out all aspects of general housekeeping and cleaning to a high standard.
- Managing laundry, including washing, folding and putting clothes away.
- Ironing and caring for garments.
- Preparing some family meals.
- Coordinating access for contractors and overseeing household visits as required.
- Receiving and managing deliveries.
- Keeping the home organised, tidy and well presented.
- Working around the needs of the family and their two cats.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a private household or a similar housekeeping role.
- Reliable, trustworthy and discreet, with excellent attention to detail.
- Well organised, proactive and able to work independently.
- Flexible and willing to assist with a variety of household tasks.
- Comfortable working in a home with two cats.
- A confident car driver, with a full driving licence.
- Professional, friendly and able to respect the privacy of the family.
Hours
- 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Four hours per day, with flexibility around start and finish times, provided working hours fall within the standard 9am–5pm window.
The position can be offered on either an employed or self-employed basis.
Start Date
The family is looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
