Chauffeur – Private Household

The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced, professional and highly reliable Chauffeur to join a private household based in Knightsbridge, London.
The successful candidate will have extensive private chauffeur experience, an impeccable driving record and an excellent knowledge of London. Previous experience driving a Rolls-Royce is essential.
This role would suit a discreet, polished and proactive individual who takes pride in delivering an exceptional standard of service and understands the expectations of a high-profile private household.
Working Hours & Schedule
- Monday to Friday, typically 9am–7pm, with overtime paid before 9am and after 7pm
- During periods when the family are in residence, working days may occasionally extend until 11pm or midnight, although it is rare to be that late.
- The family are usually in residence from May to July and September to December, when the Chauffeur will work five days per week.
- During periods when the family are away, typically August and January to April, the requirement reduces to three days per week.
- Flexibility and availability are essential should the family's travel arrangements or plans change at short notice.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing safe, smooth and professional chauffeur services for the family.
- Driving and maintaining the Rolls-Royce Ghost to the highest possible standard.
- Maintaining an immaculate vehicle at all times, including regular valeting, cleaning and presentation.
- Managing all vehicle-related requirements, including servicing, maintenance, fuel, congestion charges, road tax and insurance.
- Monitoring renewal dates, arranging necessary appointments and ensuring all documentation and vehicle requirements remain up to date.
- Planning journeys efficiently, demonstrating an excellent knowledge of London and selecting the most appropriate routes.
- Assisting with household errands and supporting other members of staff when required.
- Working collaboratively with the wider household team to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
- Maintaining the utmost discretion, confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience driving a Rolls-Royce [ideally a Ghost].
- Ideally 10–15 years of professional driving experience, or close to this.
- A full, clean UK driving licence with no penalty points.
- Excellent knowledge of London and its surrounding areas.
- Previous experience in a private household or high-end chauffeur environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent spoken English and strong communication skills.
- Impeccable presentation, punctuality and a professional manner.
- A proactive, organised and hands-on approach, with exceptional attention to detail.
- A strong team player who is happy to assist with errands and support the wider household as needed.
- Complete discretion, reliability and flexibility to accommodate changing family requirements.
