Overview
A wonderful family in McLean, Virginia, is seeking a warm, dependable, experienced daytime newborn care specialist to care for their son, due in early December 2026. This is a temporary position lasting 12–16 weeks. The family is open to either a live-in or live-out arrangement. The primary focus of this role is attentive, hands-on care for their newborn during the day. They are looking for someone who brings a calm, quiet, consistent presence and has real experience caring for infants in a home setting. The candidate must be comfortable working alongside other household staff. The schedule is 8:00am to 4:00pm, five to six days per week. One parent works from home, and the other works a hybrid schedule, so you will often be working with a parent in the house. Your shift does not overlap with the overnight newborn care provider's, so you will stay in sync by leaving written notes and texting, keeping the baby's feeding, sleep, and daily routines consistent around the clock. Local candidates are preferred, but the family is willing to relocate the right person.
