Overview
A busy and kind family of four is seeking a fantastic houseman/driver/butler to assist them at their home in the West Village. The schedule for this role will generally be Monday through Friday, full-time hours, but flexible and open to discussion. The family will be moving to the new home in September, so the start-date for this role is September 1 at the latest, but the family is happy to have the right candidate start immediately if desired. This position is very much a jack-of-all-trades role- there is some management involved, driving for the family as needed, light maintenance and repairs, and some service during events. The family is also seeking a housekeeper for the home and is open to a couple or two separate people.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring the home for necessary repairs and upkeep- performing light maintenance
- Hiring and supervising vendors
- Driving the family as needed
- Providing service during events
- Work with existing staff to keep the home in running order
Qualifications
- Team player- the family has a solid existing staff structure
- Self-starter who takes initiative
- Discreet and polished
- Safe and confident driver in the city
- "No job is too big or too small" attitude
Requirements
- Driver's license and clean driving record
- US work authorization
Salary and Benefits
- $40-50/hr.
