Overview
A busy, welcoming family based in West Village seeks a part-time, temporary housekeeper to join them 2-3 days per week. The ideal scenario would be 9am-5pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, however they can be flexible for the right person. The position will begin at the start of July and will last for approximately 6 weeks. There is a possibility that the role could become permanent for at least a year, however that is yet to be confirmed.
Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for all general housekeeping duties for a large home in West Village. Duties are likely to be (but are not limited to):
- General housekeeping (including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathroom cleaning, kitchen cleaning, and overall tidiness)
- Laundry and ironing for the household
- Occasional errands if required
- Regular deep cleaning of the home
- Creating and maintaining household organization
Requirements
- Candidates must be fluent in English and should have prior experience in a similar role
- Attention to detail is essential, as is someone reliable, punctual, and dedicated
- Initiative and a pitch-in mentality would also be appreciated
- Applicants should be comfortable learning the rhythms of the home and able to schedule their work around the movements of the family
- The home has at least 4 flights of stairs, so the housekeeper must be fit, active and able to comfortably carry heavy items between floors
Salary and Benefits
- From $40/hr, depending on experience
