Overview
A busy family who splits time between the Hampton's and Miami is searching for a live-in nanny for their 5-month-old son. The family's Newborn Care Specialist just left after 5 months so the baby is on a great schedule. The schedule is live-in Monday through Friday but it could change where weekends are needed and then the days off would be during the week. The candidate can live-in all 7 days. The candidate should be flexible if a weekend day or night is occasionally needed. The role will typically be 50 to 60 hours per week. You will be responsible for the monitor some nights.
Responsibilities
- Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
- Offer advice and guidance to the parents
- Guide the parents when weaning and prepare healthy nutritious meals
- Maintaining and adjusting sleep and feeding routines/schedules as the baby grows
- Help clean and sterilize bottles when used
- Maintain a clean and tidy nursery
- Travel with the family, when required
Qualifications
- Warm and nurturing personality
- Detail oriented and a self-starter, able to read a room, and be full-charge in the role
- Team player with excellent communication who will keep busy parents in the loop and be happy to have parents pop in when they have a break
- Excited to work with the infant/toddler age, know ages and stages and what developmental milestones are coming next
- Educationally driven and invested in working with the family long-term.
Requirements
- MUST BE able to live-in and move to Miami come October
- Spend summers in the Hampton's
- International travel for the holidays
- Valid and clean driver's license and ability to drive are required
- Ability to swim
- Seeking longevity and wanting to grow with the family
Salary and Benefits
- The role does depend on experience and ranges from $40-$45 per hr plus OT
