Overview
A family in Marin County is seeking a positive, personable Nanny to care for their 8-year-old son. The work location will be split between two different households in Marin County. He is neurodivergent so prior similar experience working with school-age children is required. Responsibilities include driving him from school to extracurriculars, planning fun activities, engaging in play and supporting his social-emotional development, as well as preparing his meals, laundry, and light tidying. The schedule is Monday to Friday 2PM-8PM (30 hours guaranteed per week + flexibility for occasional late night/weekend help).
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for child
- Navigate child’s social-emotional needs
- Engage in activities and play
- Plan camps and activities
- Drive to/from school and activities, appointments
- Prepare dinner for the child (simple healthy meals)
- Light tidying pertaining to the child
- Child's laundry
- Ordering clothing
- Collaborate with Personal Assistant on what’s needed for the child, household, etc.
- Occasional evening/weekend care
Requirements
- Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage)
- Flexibility to provide occasional evening/weekend care
- Must have prior experience with neurodivergent children
- Personable, positive
- Excellent communication
- Child development experience preferred
- Can navigate sensitive situations and know when to step in/fade out
Excellent communicator, organized, empathetic, and kind
Knowledgeable in child development, who is discreet, and seeking a long-term commitment
2 years' minimum experience working as a nanny with excellent verifiable references
Prior experience working with school-age neurodivergent children
Fluency in English

Salary and Benefits
- $40-$45/hour + standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
