Overview
A busy family of four living in Austin, Texas is searching for a new nanny/house manager. The role will be Monday through Friday from 1pm until 9pm. The family has a home in Big Sky, MT and they need someone who can travel there several weeks out of the year. This is a perfect job for someone who loves to ski or snowboard, loves children, and is super organized! The ability to speak Spanish is another huge plus!
Responsibilities
- Daily care of two school-age children, ages five and nine years old
- Transport to/from school/activities and maintain after-school and bedtime routines
- Flexibility to help watch when sick or on weekends (flexibility is key)
- Assist with homework or school projects including coordinating tutors when needed
- Family laundry and seasonal clothing swaps
- Travel with family when needed
- Grocery shopping from time to time
- Light housekeeping- tidying up, loading dishwasher, taking out trash (there is a cleaner)
- Manage complex personal schedules, doctor appointments, and social events
- Handle personal errands and tasks, such as shopping, gift procurement, dry cleaning
- Research and reservations for kids camps, tutors, sports coach, etc
Qualifications
- Ability and willingness to step in and help wherever needed in the house
- Ability to ski or snowboard
- Spanish speaking is a huge plus
- A proactive and flexible individual
- Interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic
- Willingness to meal prep or cook is a major plus
- Ability to read the room
- This is a busy household they need someone who can be 5 steps ahead and anticipate their needs
Requirements
- Legal to work in the US
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in private homes
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Ability to travel at elevation without getting sick
- Energetic, engaging, and fun-seeking approach to childcare
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- A valid driver's license, clean driving record and a safe reliable car to use for work( they will reimburse)
Salary and Benefits
Family is offering a competitive salary based on experience of $30-35/hr
