Overview
A loving family in Edison, NJ, is seeking a temporary, reliable, and compassionate live-inhome health aide/companion to assist their 79-year-old father during his recovery from heart surgery. The accommodation features a private bedroom and a shared bathroom. The term of the position will be daily for a duration of 6 to 8 weeks, starting either September 13 or September 14.
The ideal candidate will have experience with post-operative care, mobility assistance, and be comfortable driving to follow-up appointments and errands. Local candidates only.
Responsibilities
- Assist the principal with getting in and out of bed, dressing, hygiene, and mobility
- Light meal plan and prep
- Drive to follow-up medical appointments, rehab sessions, grocery store, and errands(family car will be provided)
- Assist with medication reminders and basic care needs
- Monitor general recovery progress and communicate updates
- Support with light household tasks if needed
- Provide companionship and safety supervision
- Log progress and notify family of any concerns

Requirements
- Must be strong enough to assist with mobility and transfers, including navigating stairs
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Experience in senior care, preferably post-operative, or cardiac recovery
- Male caregiver preferred for comfort reasons
- Hindi-speaking is a plus
- Must be able to live-in during the care period (6–8 weeks)
- Must be trustworthy, patient, and respectful
- Legal to work in the U.S.
Salary and Benefits
The family is offering $35 to $65 per hour, commensurate with experience, and if a licensed medical professional
