Role: Senior and Junior Housekeepers
Location: Kensington, London
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000
Work Schedule: 5 days per week, 2 days off (rotating early, middle, and late shifts between 6:30am and 9pm)
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking two professional, experienced Housekeepers to join the team of six in a prestigious private residence in Kensington. The property spans five main floors and requires an organised, energetic, and discreet individual with excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining the highest housekeeping standards and demonstrate flexibility to support the smooth running of this VIP household.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver an exceptional standard of service to the principals and their guests.
- Work collaboratively as part of the housekeeping team, following instructions from the Head or Lead Housekeeper.
- Maintain housekeeping standards across all areas of the property, ensuring rooms and communal spaces are pristine at all times.
- Care for bedroom suites, including changing beds, replenishing linens, and maintaining overall tidiness.
- Support the principals by ensuring their living environment is consistently comfortable and well-organised.
- Wardrobe management, including the care of high-end clothing, shoes, and accessories, ensuring all wardrobes and drawers are impeccably maintained.
- Assist with trip planning, including packing and unpacking for travel.
- Maintain stock control of household items, toiletries, and cleaning products, ensuring proper rotation and storage.
- Work in the laundry as needed (washing, pressing, spot cleaning, dry-cleaning coordination).
- Respond to ad hoc requests and support the operational house team in providing an outstanding level of personal service.
- Be comfortable working around children and family dogs.
- Travel with the principals as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a housekeeper in a high-end private household or luxury hospitality environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Discretion, reliability, and a professional demeanour.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced household.
- Willingness to be flexible and “go the extra mile” as needed.
- Must hold a valid UK or EU passport (travel is required).
Benefits:
- Salary & Package: Up to £55,000 per annum, enrolment into the workplace pension scheme and eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
