Achieve Hospitality is delighted to be partnering with a prestigious luxury resort, a destination renowned for delivering exceptional culinary experiences through seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and a commitment to excellence.
We are seeking a dedicated and talented Junior Sous Chef to join the resort’s culinary team. In this hands-on role, you will support the senior kitchen team in delivering outstanding dishes, maintaining high standards, and fostering a professional and motivated kitchen environment.
As Junior Sous Chef, you will assist in the smooth operation of the kitchens, help train and mentor junior chefs, and ensure every dish meets the resort’s high standards. You will play an integral role in supporting the creative, seasonal menus that showcase the finest local produce.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the senior culinary team in the day-to-day operation of the kitchens.
- Prepare food in line with established recipes, cooking standards, and seasonal menus.
- Train, guide, and mentor Chef de Parties, Commis Chefs, and Kitchen Assistants.
- Support the set-up and organisation of workstations to ensure smooth service.
- Adhere to HACCP procedures and promote best practices in food hygiene.
- Support ongoing training and development for the kitchen team.
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and kitchen organisation.
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and collaborative kitchen environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Relevant third-level culinary qualification.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team-leading role within a kitchen.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high standards.
- HACCP Level 2 certification.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Hands-on, proactive, and service-focused approach.
- Passion for seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and traditional culinary techniques.
- Legal right to work and reside in Ireland.
