Overview
A lovely multi-generational family is seeking a part-time chef to work in their home in Nashville. The schedule is flexible, but the family is generally looking for 2-3 days per week, with dinners served live on working days, and additional meals left in the fridge for reheating. The family enjoys a varied diet and prefers Italian, Greek, and Indian cuisines. There are several generations living in the home and varied levels of spice preference, so the chef should be comfortable preparing several variations of a meal.
Responsibilities
- Prepare dinner in the family's kitchen at each visit, with leftovers packed away in the fridge for later in the week
- Understand how to make dairy substitutions- one member of the family tries to limit dairy in their diet
- Shop for the freshest ingredients available
- Menu plan with input and collaboration from the principals
- Maintain organization and leave the kitchen clean and tidy
Qualifications
- Creative and innovative
- Able to incorporate a variety of cuisines and various spice levels to accommodate different tastes
- Organized and able to manage time to accomplish necessary tasks
- Familiar with planning meals in a way that allows for quality when reheating several days later
Requirements
- US work authorization

- Able to cook in person 2-3 times per week
