Overview
A warm, engaged, and organized family in TriBeCa, NYC is seeking a professional weekend family assistant to primarily support their bright and active 2-year-old daughter, with occasional support for their infant son (currently 7 weeks old). The baby will have an NCS until September, and then the nanny will be responsible for both children. Mom is a stay-at-home parent and is very involved; this role is collaborative and operates as a tag-team partnership.
The household is loving and structured, with a gentle parenting philosophy rooted in emotional regulation, co-regulation, and respectful boundaries. The family values professionalism, engagement, discretion, and warmth. They are looking for someone confident, proactive, detail-oriented, and highly interactive- especially with language development.
The family resides in Tribeca and spends summers (and occasional weekends) in the Hamptons. Travel flexibility is preferred. There is a friendly standard Goldendoodle in the home.
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule
- Guaranteed 20 hours per weekend
- Saturday: 10am – 10pm
- Sunday: 8am – 4pm (or 10am – 6pm depending on needs)
- Occasional flexibility required
- Rare overnights possible (advance notice provided)
- Potential Hamptons weekends (Friday night or Saturday morning through Sunday)
- Travel opportunities may include Friday–Sunday or Friday–Monday (preference for flexibility)
Responsibilities
- Primary care of 2-year-old daughter
- Starting in September, care for their infant son
- Ability to manage both children
- Plan engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and outings
- Frequent outings (Cocoon membership, bookstores, parks, libraries, neighborhood activities)
- Support language development and interactive learning
- Prepare healthy toddler meals
- Willingness to help with full family laundry(if throwing in kids' clothing, grab parents as well)
- Light household support (dishes, tidying, organization)
- Walk the family dog
- Pick up dry cleaning as needed
- Support structured routines and parenting philosophy
- Maintain a screen-free environment
- Travel to the Hamptons, and occasionally with the family
- Maintain strict discretion (NDA required)
- Stay off the phone while actively caring for children

Qualifications
- Strong toddler experience required
- Infant experience preferred
- Highly engaged, interactive, and energetic
- Confident driver (must be comfortable driving in the Hamptons; car not required in NYC)
- Comfortable traveling
- Proactive and detail-oriented
- Organized and able to follow structure
- Warm, emotionally intelligent, and able to “read the room”
- Degree preferred but not required
- CPR & First Aid certified
Requirements
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willing to sign an NDA
- Comfortable with a friendly Goldendoodle
- Non-smoker
Salary and Benefits
- $40/hour (higher rate when responsible for both children)
- Guaranteed 20 hours weekly

- Uber transportation provided after 8:00 PM shifts
