Overview
A busy, friendly household seeks a fantastic live-out executive housekeeper to manage a large central-London home. The usual schedule will be 8.15am-6.15pm, Monday through Friday, and a little flexibility around occasional weekend or evening help would be much appreciated. The family has extremely high standards and is seeking a candidate who understands the requirements of a reasonably formal, fully-staffed household and who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully kept home.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be caring for a 10,000 sq ft townhouse with 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, over 7 storeys. The successful candidate will take responsibility for ensuring a well-run, organised, and immaculately presented home. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, a team-player approach, and effective communication.
- Daily and deep cleaning of all interior spaces to a guest-ready standard, to include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, tidying, and organising the interior areas of the home
- Household laundry and ironing
- Dealing with contractors and vendors when required
- Regular changing of bedlinen and towels
- Daily cleaning of bathrooms
- Proper care of luxury finishes including stone, hardwood, custom cabinetry, and designer fixtures
- Regular inventory check for all grocery items, cleaning supplies, and any other relevant household items
Requirements
- Prior experience as an Executive Housekeeper in a private home
- Knowledge of caring for high-end materials (marble, silver, antiques)
- Comfortable receiving verbal instructions and anticipating needs
- A real sense of pride in your role, ensuring elevated standards and a pristine, organised and welcoming environment
- Organized, proactive, and highly detail-oriented with a meticulous approach
- Child-friendly
- Able to 'read the room' well, comfortable knowing when to step forward and when to keep in the background
- Longevity in previous roles
- Comfortable meeting high standards around cleanliness, laundry care, and household order
- Naturally organised and comfortable implementing systems
- Warm, respectful, calm, and professional
- Discreet, reliable and consistent with excellent judgement
- Prior experience in a hotel, and very service-orientated
