We are seeking an experienced, organised and reliable Cook / Housekeeper to join a private household, taking responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the home and the preparation of simple, home-cooked meals.
This role would suit someone who enjoys keeping a home clean, tidy and well organised, alongside preparing fresh, straightforward meals for the household. The ideal candidate will be proactive, trustworthy, discreet and happy to turn their hand to all aspects of housekeeping and basic cooking.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping

Undertaking all general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, tidy and well-presented home.

Cleaning and maintaining all rooms and living areas to a high standard.

Laundry, ironing and care of household clothing and linens.

Keeping kitchens and bathrooms clean, organised and hygienic.

Managing household supplies and advising when items need replenishing.

Ensuring the home is well organised and runs smoothly on a daily basis.
Cooking

Preparing and cooking the evening meal on a daily basis.

Preparing occasional lunches and breakfasts as required.

Cooking simple, fresh, home-style meals.

Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, including clearing up after meals.

Planning meals and ensuring ingredients are available when needed.
Working Hours
The usual working pattern is Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm. Some weekend work will occasionally be required, but this will always be arranged with plenty of advance notice. Time off in lieu will be provided for agreed additional weekend working.
The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in a private household or a similar housekeeping role.
