Overview
A busy family in New York City is seeking a reliable, experienced part-time housekeeper to assist with day-to-day cleaning and organization of their 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom apartment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and experienced in maintaining a private household to a high standard.
The role primarily focuses on general housekeeping and laundry, ensuring the home remains clean, organized, and well-maintained throughout the week. The household includes a Cavapoo, so the candidate must be okay working around dogs. No pet care, childcare, or cooking required in the role.
Schedule
- 4 days per week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday (preferred)
- Hours: 9:30am – 2:30pm (approximately 20 hours per week)
- Family is somewhat flexible with the schedule if needed for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- General housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness throughout the home
- Vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and tidying living areas and bedrooms
- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms
- Kitchen cleaning and upkeep
- Laundry for the household (washing, drying, folding)
- Occasional light garment steaming
- Maintaining the overall organization of the home
Qualifications
- Experienced in working in private households
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working independently
- Professional with strong communication skills and fluent English
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of private household housekeeping experience
- Legal to work in the United States
- Strong professional references
Salary and Benefits
- $35/hour
