Overview
A warm and loving family on the Upper East Side is seeking a full-time, live-out nanny to focus primarily on the care of their infant. The position is available to start as soon as possible.
The family also has two older children who are in school. The nanny will focus primarily on the infant’s care while working collaboratively with another nanny who focuses on the older two children. On a regular weekly basis, the role will also include caring for one of the older children for an afternoon, and occasionally stepping in to support with all three children if the other nanny is sick or on vacation.
This is a professional, well-run household with additional staff, including another nanny and a housekeeper. The parents value reliability, professionalism, and strong communication, and they are looking for someone who is warm, energetic, and highly engaged with children. They appreciate nannies who are proactive, collaborative, and comfortable joining an already established routine and team dynamic.
The parents prioritize active engagement, reading, and developmentally supportive play. They encourage independence, resilience, and emotional regulation in their children while maintaining loving but firm boundaries. The family does not use screen time and encourages plenty of outdoor activities, walks, and visits to nearby parks, classes, and the local library.
Both parents are actively involved; the mother works from a home office about 50% of the time, while the father works outside the home.
