Overview
A family of three living in the Southside Place area of Houston, TX, is seeking a full-time live-out governess. The schedule is Monday through Friday. The principals are highly invested in their child’s well-being, development, and daily experience. The three-year-old daughter is engaged in a high-level developmental track, including sports, music, and formal arts instruction. There is an additional residence in Aspen where the family spends time. In Aspen, live-out accommodations will be provided. The principal will onboard through shadowing, with the expectation of independent execution. The role is ready to hire upon finding the right candidate. Open to relocation.
Responsibilities
- This is a child-focused role within a highly intentional and well-run household
- The candidate must be fully comfortable operating within a digital, calendar-driven system

- Responsible for keeping the child’s schedule, instruction, and developmental programming seamless between residences
- Maintain schedule integrity
- Prepare the child appropriately for each activity such as high-level academic, musical, and cultural environments like golf, tennis, horseback riding, and swimming
- The principal will be present for equestrian and swimming instruction, and the nanny should be comfortable supporting alongside or stepping back as appropriate
- Observe lessons and activities closely
- Take clear, structured notes when the principal is not present
- Track patterns in engagement and progress
- Communicate observations concisely
- In Houston, driving the child is required, but not in Aspen
Qualifications
- Highly polished, structured childcare professional
- Norland or equivalent top-tier training
- Strong educational foundation
- French is a plus
- Warm but not familiar
- Attentive but not intrusive
- Composed and observant
Requirements
- Legal to work in the US
- Must be tech savvy - household is run through Google Workspace (calendar, notes, coordination)
- Seeking longevity
- Clean and valid driver's license
- Passport ready - not expiring within six months
- Flexible to travel
Salary and Benefits
The family is open on a salary of $150K++ depending on experience. Benefits to include paid time off, paid holidays and a medical stipend.
