Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef for an upcoming luxury dining concept in Central London. Exciting opportunity to join the opening team of a new luxury dining destination. The restaurant is part of an exclusive development and will offer refined all-day dining, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and in-room service. The environment is high-end and design-led, catering to an international clientele with strong expectations around quality, discretion, and consistency.
This is a rare opportunity to take full culinary leadership of a new opening, shaping both the kitchen operation and menu direction from inception. The concept is modern Mediterranean with Italian influence, focused on seasonal, high-quality produce delivered with precision and elegance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and room service services
- Design, develop, and execute a refined modern Italian-led menu with
- Mediterranean influence, aligned with a luxury positioning
- Champion authentic Italian flavours, techniques, and seasonal execution within a high-end framework
- Recruit, train, and mentor a brigade of approximately 6 kitchen staff
- Maintain exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation standards at all times
- Oversee stock control, supplier relationships, ordering, and cost management
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
- Work closely with front-of-house leadership to deliver a seamless guest experience
- Take full ownership of kitchen performance, including GP targets and operational efficiency
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a Michelin-starred or high-end luxury restaurant (Head Chef experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong background in Italian cuisine at a high level, ideally within a
- Michelin or premium restaurant environment
- Deep understanding of regional Italian cooking styles, ingredients, and seasonal menu development
- Experience operating in high-volume, quality-driven environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop a kitchen team
- Confident working independently with full operational responsibility
- Calm, disciplined, and highly organised under pressure in a fast-paced opening environment
