Overview
A private family of 4 on the Upper East Side of New York is seeking a highly experienced, full-time housekeeper to join their home as soon as possible. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, well-organized environment. The family goes to the Hamptons in July/August, but the candidate is not expected to travel with them; they will continue to care for the residence on the UES. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday from 11am to 7pm with flexibility. This is a live-out position, and only local candidates will be considered.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform thorough daily cleaning and upkeep of a 6,700 sq. ft. residence across four levels (home is equipped with a lift)
- Laundry care, including washing, folding, and ironing
- Changing of linens and making beds
- Maintain and care for delicate surfaces (including stone), ensuring proper cleaning methods are used
- Kitchen upkeep throughout the day, especially dish-washing
- General organization and tidiness throughout the home
- Wardrobe management and organization
- Keep an inventory of household cleaning supplies and other relevant household items.
- Work proactively to anticipate household needs and maintain high standards

Requirements
- Strong knowledge of proper housekeeping techniques is essential
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Pet-friendly- the family has a small dog
- Ability to travel occasionally to the Hamptons is not a requirement, but would be a huge plus
- Legal to work in the U.S.
Salary and Benefits
The family is offering $45/hr, and PTO
