Overview
A busy family living on the Upper East Side is seeking a driver/family assistant to help their lives run smoothly. The position is Monday through Friday, 7am to 3pm. The family has two young children and another full-time caregiver. The role requires driving in New York City and housekeeping/family assistant duties. There is a deep cleaner who comes 2x per month.
Responsibilities
- Transporting children to and from school and other activities
- Arranging schedules with other staff
- Keeping the home tidy, including all laundry and linens
- Running errands, including all grocery shopping and stocking the fridge with meals for the week
- Stocking the pantry with snacks and waters
- Opening packages
- Preparing meals (store-bought or ordered) and snacks for the kids
- You must be able to step in from time to time to help with either child if the nanny is out
Qualifications
- You will be working on a team with nannies, so a pitch-in attitude is needed
- This is a quiet home, and they are looking for someone who will respect boundaries
- Very small footprint in the home
- Organized and able to put systems into place
Requirements
- Significant driving experience in NYC and driving children in the city
- Comfortable driving children and genuinely caring about their safety and well-being
- Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
- Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be able to speak fluent English.
- Legal to work in the U.S.
