Overview
A warm, thoughtful Upper East Side family is seeking a full-time nanny to join their established caregiving team and help support their growing household.
This is a true shared-care environment where collaboration is at the heart of the role. Multiple caregivers are present throughout the day, and everyone works together with a common goal: creating a calm, loving, and well-supported environment for the children. The family values patience, open communication, mutual respect, and a genuine team mentality.
The household includes young children ranging from infancy through early elementary school, with a new baby expected later this year. Because of the collaborative nature of the home, the nanny is rarely responsible for all of the children independently. During the day, care is often focused on one or two children while the others are in school or being supported by another caregiver. Experience working with larger families or within staffed households is a plus, but candidates who thrive in collaborative environments are equally encouraged to apply.
The parents are highly involved, kind, and deeply invested in raising emotionally secure, respectful children. They are seeking someone who naturally brings a calm, patient, and grounded presence to the home. The ideal candidate is someone who can be playful and energetic with the children while also serving as a steady, reassuring adult.
The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with overnight coverage required Wednesday and Thursday nights. Sunday consists of a half-day shift (approximately 7:00 AM–1:00 PM). A private bedroom and bathroom are provided for overnight stays.
The family travels throughout the year, and the nanny should be excited to travel alongside them when needed.
Above all, the family hopes to find a career nanny looking for a long-term home. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with children, values teamwork, and wants to grow with one family for many years. The hiring timeline is immediate, though the family is willing to wait for the right fit.
