This is a great opportunity for an experienced Head Housekeeper to join a high-performing leadership team and oversee the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department within a prestigious luxury environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction across all guest-facing and operational areas.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards are consistently delivered across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
- Organise team schedules, task allocation, and departmental workflow to maximise efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct regular quality inspections, addressing issues promptly and ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Oversee linen, laundry, stock control, and equipment management to maintain service levels and cost efficiency.
- Support and develop supervisors and team members through training, coaching, and performance management.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless communication and an exceptional guest experience.
- Assist in managing budgets, labour planning, and cost-control initiatives without compromising luxury service standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, operational enhancements, and long-term departmental development.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven leadership experience within housekeeping operations in a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of housekeeping standards, quality control, and operational efficiency.
- Excellent organisational and people management skills, with the ability to motivate diverse teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining elevated presentation standards.
- Sound knowledge of health, safety, hygiene, and chemical handling procedures.
- Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable approach with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced setting.
