Role: Spanish-Speaking House Manager
Salary: €75,000-€85,000 gross per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Gibraltar (option to reside in Spain)
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (flexibility required during principal residence and events)
Accommodation: Private apartment provided (on or near estate)

Role Overview
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a prestigious private residence in Gibraltar.
This is a senior position suited to an individual who brings quiet authority, impeccable standards, and a calm, solutions-focused approach to household leadership. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for ensuring the smooth, discreet, and professional running of the estate.
Reporting directly to the Principal’s representative, you will act as the operational lead of the household and be responsible for maintaining the highest level of service, organisation, and presentation throughout the residence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the residence and associated estate
- Lead and coordinate a team of household staff, including housekeepers, chefs, drivers, security, and service personnel
- Set and maintain operational standards across all areas of the household
- Manage daily schedules, staffing rotas, and service delivery
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and external service providers
- Oversee household purchasing and stock management
- Ensure the residence is fully prepared for principal arrivals and events
- Act as the central point of communication for all household operations
- Maintain strict discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Ensure smooth coordination between all departments within the household
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing a large private household or estate
- Background in high-end hospitality or Food & Beverage is highly desirable
- Fluent in Spanish (English highly advantageous)
- Strong leadership skills with a calm, composed presence
- Exceptionally well-presented, professional, and discreet
- Able to manage multiple teams with confidence and clarity
- Highly organised with strong forward-planning ability
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment when the family is in residence
- UK or EU passport holder
