Overview
A fun, outdoorsy family with three children aged 2-years, 4-years and 6-years and, seeks a wonderful housekeeper/cook to join them in the Adirondacks (Old Forge) for two weeks. The role will start on or around August 1st and will finish on or around August 15th. This is a full-time, live-in role working 5 or 6 days per week, supporting a really hands-on family. You will not be responsible for everything, but will be an extra pair of hands so the family have a bit of time to relax and enjoy time together.
Responsibilities
- General cleaning, clearing and tidying, including after breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Assistance with preparing lunch and dinner for the family (there will be additional guests during the second week)
- Some laundry for the family
- Occasional babysitting for the 3 children, keeping an eye on them while they nap, or providing an extra pair of hands when needed
- Grocery shopping
Qualifications
Requirements
- Confident driver, able to drive to the location and then to handle grocery shopping in the nearest town (20mins away)
- Hands-on, pitch-in approach - able to see where help is needed and keep tabs on a busy, active household!
- Fun, positive and happy personality
- The Aldirondacks location is relatively remote (with limited cellular and wifi access), so please have a love of the outdoors and be excited about being active in nature!
- Confident cook, able to prepare fresh and delicious family-style meals
Salary and Benefits
- Accommodation includes a separate bedroom and bathroom
- $350-$375 per day
