Overview
Achieve Hospitality is delighted to be partnering with a well-established independent hotel renowned for its quality dining, weddings, and events offering.
They are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen operation, delivering exceptional food across restaurant service, hotel guests, weddings, and events of up to 300 guests. The role combines hands-on culinary leadership with responsibility for menu development, team management, food quality, and overall kitchen performance.
This opportunity is ideal for a passionate and commercially minded chef with experience in hotel, banqueting, or high-volume hospitality environments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day kitchen operation.
- Oversee food delivery across the restaurant, weddings, conferences, and events.
- Develop seasonal menus, specials, and event catering packages.
- Manage stock control, purchasing, and supplier relationships.
- Monitor food costs, labour budgets, and GP margins.
- Train, mentor, and develop the kitchen team.
- Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, HACCP, health & safety, and hygiene regulations.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior kitchen leadership role.
- Previous Head Chef experience within a hotel environment preferred.
- Proven background in weddings, banqueting, and large-scale events.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience managing food costs, stock control, and kitchen budgets.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and health & safety legislation.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
