An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Houseman/Dog Handler to join a fully staffed UHNW household in London.
Job Description
The estate comprises an eight-bedroom country residence set within 200 acres of landscaped grounds and operates with an established and supportive household team. The successful couple will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the property while maintaining exceptional standards throughout.
This is a varied and hands-on position combining first-class pet care with general household support, maintenance responsibilities, and assistance to the wider household team.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive day-to-day care for the family’s pets, including feeding, exercising, grooming support, administering medication where required, arranging veterinary appointments and managing pet supplies.
- Maintain all pet-related areas to an exceptional standard of cleanliness and organisation.
- Carry out general houseman duties to support the smooth operation of the household.
- Undertake basic property maintenance tasks and coordinate external contractors when required.
- Assist with household logistics, deliveries, errands and ad hoc requests from family members and the wider household team.
- Monitor household supplies and support the efficient running of the residence.
- Work collaboratively with other household staff to ensure the highest levels of service and presentation are maintained.
- Accompany the family and pets on occasional travel as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working within a private UHNW household is essential.
- Genuine passion for animal care, with experience looking after pets to a high standard.
- Practical and hands-on with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Discreet, trustworthy and professional at all times.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours and responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a large household team.
- Full driving licence advantageous.
