Role: Temporary Housekeeper
Location: Primrose Hill, London
Salary: £25.00 per hour (DOE)
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (over 5 days)
Start Date: August 2026
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-oriented Temporary Housekeeper to support a warm family in their four-storey private home near Primrose Hill. This is a relaxed household with children, where the family are not always in residence, making this a manageable role for someone who enjoys maintaining exceptionally high standards in a calm environment.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, discreet and take pride in keeping the home beautifully presented. Previous experience working within private households, particularly HNW or Principal residences, would be highly advantageous.
Job Description
You will be responsible for the day-to-day housekeeping of a four-storey family home comprising one kitchen, three bedrooms, one dressing room and three bathrooms. This is primarily a sole housekeeping role where you will ensure the property remains organised, clean and well maintained.
The household has one friendly dog, so applicants should be comfortable working around dogs.
Role Responsibilities:
- Full housekeeping and general upkeep of the home
- Deep cleaning to an exceptional standard
- Daily tidying and ensuring the home is always well presented
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- Changing bed linen
- Hoovering, dusting and polishing
- Cleaning bathrooms and kitchen to a high standard
- Taking out rubbish and managing recycling
- Receiving post and accepting deliveries when required
- Moving bags and household items where necessary
- Maintaining organisation throughout the property
- Working proactively and staying on top of all household tasks
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Housekeeper within a private household
- Experience working in HNW or Principal residences is highly desirable
- High attention to detail with a genuine passion for deep cleaning
- Discreet, trustworthy and professional
- Friendly, proactive and able to work independently
- Fluent English speaker
- Physically fit and able to comfortably work across four floors, including carrying items between the basement and upper levels
- Comfortable working around children and a friendly family dog
