Overview
A warm, professional family in Chappaqua is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organized full-time live-out nanny/family assistant to support their busy household. With two working parents, they are looking for someone who can seamlessly manage the children's schedules, provide dependable childcare, and assist with household tasks that keep the family running smoothly. The children are 3 and 7- years old. The ideal candidate is confident, energetic, and nurturing while also taking initiative without needing constant direction. The family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys becoming an extension of the household, allowing the parents peace of mind knowing their children are well cared for and their daily logistics are handled.
Schedule
- Full-time, live-out
- Approximately 7:30/8:00 AM – 6:30/7:00 PM
- Monday through Friday
- Flexibility appreciated as schedules may vary slightly.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, engaging care for two children.
- Manage school and camp drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Safely transport the children to extracurricular activities, play-dates, and appointments.
- Prepare healthy breakfasts, school lunches, snacks, and simple family-style dinners for the children.
- Grocery shop and keep the kitchen stocked with fresh, healthy foods.
- Follow a family meal plan and prepare meals accordingly.
- Children's laundry and organization.
- Keep the children's bedrooms, play areas, and belongings neat and organized.
- Run family errands, including dry cleaning, returns, and miscellaneous household tasks.
- Assist with maintaining an organized household while children are at school.
- Communicate pro-actively with the parents regarding schedules, activities, and the children's needs.
Requirements
- Have extensive experience caring for multiple children of similar ages.
- Be an excellent driver with a clean driving record and confidence driving children daily (family car provided).
- Be highly organized and able to independently prioritize household tasks while the children are in school.
- Enjoy preparing simple, healthy meals for children.
- Be comfortable managing a busy schedule with multiple school pick-ups, activities, and appointments.
- Take initiative while remaining collaborative and communicative with the parents.
- Be comfortable working in a home with a friendly young dog (no pet care responsibilities required).
- Be energetic, engaging, and genuinely enjoy spending time with active children.
- Previous long-term nanny experience with school-aged children.
- Excellent driving record.
- Strong professional references.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Salary and Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $45, depending on experience.
